Some of my favorite recent stories from our CardRatings.com Credit Card News blog:
- PayPal’s mobile app enables person-to-person transactions. It sounds like they want to take on the folks from Square, but Intuit’s rolling up with a serious contender for mobile credit card acceptance.
- Kim Kardashian launches a prepaid debit card. Brilliant and scary at the same time. I can’t wait to see one of these in the wild.
- Visa busts out some killer APIs. Some folks worried that Visa buying Authorize.Net would stunt growth in online credit card acceptance products. Quite the opposite: they’re using Authorize.Net as a firehose for VisaNet.
- Ken Chenault is a badass. I try to cover this industry from an objective point of view, but I have to admire a guy who takes a stand based on providing value to merchants, customers, and shareholders.
